Description
In order to watch modern digital TV you need to connect a TDT (DVB) receiver to your TV.
But this is not all! You need a new antenna, because the older TV antennas are not designed for digital reception.
The new digitale TV send the waves vertical, the analog TV uses horizontal polarized waves.
As a result the receiver reports a poor signal.
You have 4 possibilities to boost up the signal.
a) You connect a small indoor antenna to your DVD receiver, which can be problematic due to the reflection of the signal by the masts in the habour.
b) A regular outdoor antenna provides better results, but the best place to fit the antenna is the masttop. A lot of signals get lost in the cable. The longer the cable the more signals fade.
c) The most efficient solution is an outdoor antenna with amplifier in the masttop, which compensates the signal lost in the cable.
Upon request we will provide an applicable outdoor TV antenna.
d) Another option is the use of an existing VHF antenna in the masttop connected to an easyDVB divider.
This solution almost as good as the outdoor antenna with amplifier, because the easyDVB comes with an integrated amplifier.
Insert the easyDVB between antenna and VHF –radio. Then connect the DVB receiver to the easyDVB box.
